Because Gameloftjust needs to absolutely have their own version of almost ALL iPhone gaming genres, check out their own take on the fishing games genre in Fishing Kings:
“Experience realistic fishing with a wide range of options and abilities. Even if you don’t know a thing about fishing, the accessible gameplay will allow you to enjoy this fun and intense experience! Grab your rod and your best lures and join the most intense fishing game.”
While we did tell you yesterday about this game, I kinda felt bad that we didn’t have any more information about the game as well as screens so let’s Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction:
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction continues Splinter Cell Double Agent’s story. To add to that, Splinter Cell Conviction is exactly faithful to the 360 version including projective screens and tag and kill (mark and execute).
The game’s location includes Malta and DC. This game according to Gameloft should be an “introduction of the series to new fans as well as homecoming to the series’ biggest fans”.
You were the first to know about Gameloft’s upcoming zombie/Resident Evil 5-like game Zombie Infection earlier today. I also promised we’ll get you screens and info. Here they are:
Zombie Infection is a third person shooter in which you can play as Shanna OR Anderson. The story is that your character’s brother gets lost in South Africa and it’s YOUR job to look for him.
We already told you about Gameloft’s Zombie Infection and now this title. They didn’t allow video but they will be sending us screens later today. The first game they showed is…
360 Art!
You guessed it! Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction iPhone!
The game follows up where Splinter Cell Double Agent left off with the same story as the console version. The game uses a lot of the same features as the console version as well(i.e. Projective objectives, tag and kill, etc.) Gameloft said that this game can be enjoyed by players new to Splinter Cell, and the old school Splinter Cell gamers.
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction uses joystick controls and you touch the screen to move the camera view. Conviction feels a lot like Terminator Salvation, maybe that’s because it’s running on Gameloft’s famous engine!
We previewed a lot of games from Gameloft yesterday and one really stood out. The game is called Zombie Infection, and the first thing I noticed is that is a well-cloned Resident Evil 5. No video was allowed for this game as well.
Zombie Infection has 10 full length levels that include; the slums, parks, boats, docks and even a zoo. It follows the story of two characters. The first part of the story is about a character named Anderson who is looking for his brother in Africa. The second protagonist’s name is Shawna and we don’t know much about her.
Gameloftisn’t new to porting a lot of great console classics to the iPhone. They now move onto the Rayman world, and though the game remains faithful to the series, some bugs are overpowering the game a bit too much. However…
We already know Gameloftis a master when it comes to not-so-very revealing teasers (not really). Just today, they’ve posted a new teaser site SamsNewMission.com which possibly means Splinter Cell iPhone:
How so? If you look at the picture above, there are coordinates and when typed on Google Maps, it results to: 1 Infinite Loop, Apple’s Cupertino facilities. WIN:
Well how about that? Just last night, we told you Gameloft’s bringing us a Rayman game but we don’t know which one. Yesterday, Gameloft revealed the mystery game is Rayman 2: The Great Escape and that it’ll launch March 1 along with this video:
Rayman, the world-famous video game icon, is back and ready for action! Relive all the enjoyment of Rayman 2: The Great Escape, the game that brought the armless hero into 3D environments for the first time!
A couple of days ago, Gameloftsent us this cryptic trailer below showing Rayman and announcing he’ll be making its way to the iPhone soon. While that’s all clear and dandy, we can’t point exactly which version of this game is going to be released first:
No one really knows what version is going to be ported but that doesn’t mean people can’t speculate. That being said, everyone’s pointing fingers at the original Rayman released on MSDOS, Atari, Sega Saturn and the PlayStation.
With NOVAcalled by everyone as the iPhone’s (and obviously Gameloft’s) best first person shooter, does this game have what it takes to be at least on par with it?
The answer isn’t as straight forward as the game both have some ups and downs. We are certain however that the second outing of this series is much better than the first. Continue reading to find out what we like, and didn’t like about this game.
